This iceberg will be covering symbols and symbolism from around the world and throughout human history. Some entries will be more abstract or general, potentially relating to a whole complex of symbols themselves, while others are more specific, referring to particular symbols from particular places and times. The entry on the world tree is great example of some of some of the decision-making that will have to be done: Do i include a separate entry for trees in general when the tree in general is captured by the essence of the world tree? Or do I just include particular examples from individual species of tree? On top of that, there si some difficulty ordering by obscurity. Many of these in their deeper, more esoteric meaning can be classified as less known, but at the same time are nonetheless so ubiquitous as to be quite well known generally or in general if not in specifics. Iceberg order of entries will be subject to massive revision.
