Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What clients do you recommend?
We recommend Element, but Cinny and Fluffychat are also good alternatives.
How do I find rooms to join?
matrixrooms.info is a great resource to earch through. Simply search a keyword or community and see a list of rooms across the federation.
It also gives you a guide on how to search for rooms inside your client here. You may also join the official Unredacted Space to see a list of our official public rooms.
What are bridge bots?
Bridge bots work by bridging your conversations between Matrix and the respective app. Follow the documentation here, find the bridge bot you want to set up on the left hand scrolling menu, and follow the instructions.
All the bot set ups start out with inviting the bridge bot into a private dm on Matrix, so that’s a good starting point. You can use commands such as help to bring up commands the bot will accept. The names of all the Unredacted bridge bots are stated above under the Bots list.
Who do I contact if I have a concern, comment, or question?
You can contact us on Matrix in our room: Unredacted Matrix Server and one of our moderators will get back to you.
